If I was a sculptor... but then again, no.



I've actually been working on some metal stuff, despite the fact that my metal-motivation has been pretty much non-existent. My brain is being way too negative and is telling me that it's pointless and frivolous and will never amount to anything anyway. But then I wear something I've made, and someone tells me its great and I should be selling my work... and I don't know. It's hard.

This is a piece I just finished.


I wanted to try something structured and symmetrical, but I think it's just shown me that the free-form, organic shapes are nicer. I also tried combining copper and brass in one piece. I'm not sure if I like it or not.

Here's one of my other necklaces, made in brass only.

  1. I agree that it's hard to find motivation for being productive, and then you have to figure out marketing and sometimes it does seem like it will never be successful, but Shira, you can totally sell these!
